About us – “The STCRA aims to promote a thriving town centre that embraces and supports a healthy environment, where residents enjoy living, businesses prosper and visitors aremade welcome.”

STCRA was formed in 1992 to promote the interests of everyone who lives ‘between the bridges’.

We are non party-political and work closely with other associations and groups within the town to get consensus on common issues.

The Association is run by a committee of 13 residents, elected at the AGM every November and with a wide range of skills, interests and backgrounds. Volunteers cover different areas of the town for the purpose of liaising with residents and delivering our quarterly newsletter ‘In the Loop’ and flyers for forthcoming events.

About you – Anyone who lives within the loop can join STCRA and we actively encourage families and young people to become members so their interests can be represented in the town both now and in the future.

If you just want to come along to the social events that’s fine, but we always welcome support and input from residents who feel able to get more involved, for example by joining the committee, taking part in the regular events or simply encouraging their friends and neighbours to join too.
