Part of a letter I wrote to Kim Bennett, Shropshire Star, as a result of ShrewChrons 31 Jan headline: Probably not relevant, but did the frontage onto the Square of the building that Princess House replaced have any significance on the present line/design of PH; aka, which frontage of PH is in line with the previous building's boundary to the Square - the ground floor frontage or the upper floor frontage? If it was at ground floor then permission should not be granted to allow the building to "intrude" into the Square. But if the upper floor proves to have been the boundary of the old building, then it will be difficult (morally even) to stop this development. I believe the arguments for it being carried out are shallow and smacks of greed that will actually benefit, financially, no more than a handful of people. The development will reduce and therefore restrict use of space in the Square more than the area of space that will be lost to the building's ground floor being brought forward.

Hi
I am interested in your organisation generally, but am particularly purturbed at the suggestion that car parking charges could be levied on a Sunday.
Your email is very succinct.
"Give us a break" I say !
Is there anything I can do to assist your campaign to ensure that these charges are not levied ?
I look forward to hearing from you.
